Last month Advanced Bionics started sending out letters to their “C1” users. These are people with the earliest implanted devices from approximately 1990 to early in 2001. The news that Advanced Bionics can no longer support the external processors, due to extremely hard to find parts and chips, was not a big surprise to a lot of people, and a huge surprise to others. Advanced Bionics has created support workshops and there is a lot of information on options going forward. Many legacy users have already replaced their internal device and are using current Advanced Bionics technology that is much more advanced. This video was created by David B Cluff. David used his Advanced Bionics technology for 26 years and recently had it replaced with today’s technology. He created this video in hope other C1 users will find hope through these unprecedented times.
